Local Favorite - Veg on the Edge
So I love the new Abbott Square. The concept is the Ferry Building meets Santa Cruz - a focus on local small businesses with an array of food and beverage options. Though Veg on the Edge was not my favorite when it first opened, I have grown to enjoy it. The menu is vegan, gluten free, and mostly organic, with a West African influence - LOVE the concept. I really enjoy the sweet potato peanut soup - perfect for rainy days we have had recently. And the potato balls made of red potatoes, chickpea flour, onions, and brown mustard seeds are so so good. Veg on the Edge is one of my go to spots for a quick lunch.
